• On June 19, 2017 Adani Group signed an MoU with Adani and East Hope Group- one of China's largest private companies to invest US$ 300 million in a manufacturing unit of an Indian port.
  MoU was signed o set up manufacturing units in Mundra special economic zone in Gujarat to produce solar power generation equipment, chemicals, aluminium and animal feed
  The MoU was signed between Amit Uplenchar, President of Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone and Meng Changjun, President of East Hope Group (Investment) in the presence of Consul General Prakash Gupta
  The MoU is proposed to convert into a definitive agreement within a period of 180 days and would cover areas of specific cooperation outlined as per agreement between the two sides

• India-born Ishan Palit was recently appointed as global Chief Operating Officer of a Munich-based safety, quality and sustainability solutions company TUV SUD
  The German company said this appointment marks the first time in the 150-year history of the TUV organisation that a non-German executive has been designated as member of the Board of management

• On June 20, 2017 Anil Ambani Group company Reliance Defence Ammunition announced having entered into a strategic partnership with Serbia’s state-run defence major Yugoimport to manufacture ammunition in India and target business opportunities of Rs 20,000 crore over the next 10 years.
  Ambani, chairman of Reliance Group, met President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic in Belgrade.
  Defence Minister of Serbia, Zoran Dordevic, Assistant Minister of Defence Nenad Moloradovic and the CEO of Yugoimport were also present at the meeting.

• Justice Dalveer Bhandari has been nominated by India as its candidate for another nine-year term as a judge of the International Court of Justice (ICJ), the principal judicial organ of the UN.
  Bhandari, 69, was elected in April 2012 during simultaneous balloting in both the General Assembly and the Security Council to a seat on the ICJ, also known as the World Court and is based in The Hague in the Netherlands.
  His current term runs through February 2018.
